Triumph 865 Scrambler

The Triumph 865 Scrambler in our collection was built by Spain-based bike builder Roy Welton with the purpose of evoking memories of 1970s scramblers through a modern 2016 Triumph platform.

The list of upgrades and modifications to the bike is huge, and the skilled people who assisted throughout the build were documented so thankfully we can give credit where it’s due for each individual aspect of this stunning machine:

Builder: Roy Welton

Paint: Arnie at Pro Kustom UK

Frame: Sand-blasted and powder coated by Sean Longbottom at Agbrigg Chrome Platers UK

Wheels: Morad alloy rims and stainless steel spokes (Joe Brown, Staffordshire Wheel Works UK)

Brakes: R-flo floating front disc, TRW rear disc, Discacciatti 4 piston callipers front and rear. Hel hoses.

Suspension: Andreani Misano Evo fork cartridge kit, polished fork tube bottoms from 2006 model. YSS Pro shocks at rear.

Engine mods: Triumph Twin Power Stage 5 tune; air box baffle removed; Tec oil cap; UTP safe start mod;; UTP DNA air filter; UTP DNA Breathe air filter bell mouth. Polished casings and rocker cover.

Exhaust: FCR high level exhaust with custom baffle

Footrests: Modified Norman Hyde front footrests

Clutch: Barnett clutch springs upgrade

Other bits: Modified Norman Hyde front footrests; FCR indicators; LSL mudguards; LSL handlebars, bar risers & taper head stock bearings; Motone handlebar micro switches, ignition and rectifier brackets
