Live music on the night will be performed by The Perfect Shambles! Described as “A high energy tribute to the greatest rock and roll bands to grace this galaxy! 100% ROCK N ROLL DISTILLED IN YORKSHIRE”

GAYNA WALLIS - THE STORY RAF CARNABY

30TH OCTOBER 2026

We are delighted to announce that local historian Gayna Wallis will be joining us on the evening of Friday 30th October to deliver her much-requested talk about the history of RAF Carnaby. Gayna was instrumental in the Carnaby Airfield Memorial committee which managed to raise funds for a stunning memorial in the village marking this important aspect of local and wartime history. Gayna has researched and published three books on the subject of RAF Carnaby - all of which are on sale in our shop - and she will be happy to sign any you bring along from home or buy on the night. This will be a ticketed event taking place in our cafe space. Tickets will go on sale in early September.

MEMORABLE PAST EVENTS

pre-hornsea breakfast special

SUNDAY 16TH AUGUST 8:30AM - 10:30am

At the request of the great folks who organise Hornsea Bike Show, we’ll be opening our cafe at 8:30am on Sunday 16th August in order to let you fuel yourself up with breakfast ready for a big day out in Hall Garth Park.

It’s a very informal affair - there’s no organised ride-in or group departure times. We’re just open early in case you want to come along and have a relaxed coffee or a cuppa and maybe a bit of breakfast before you head on down to Hornsea at your own pace as and when you’re ready.

Our shop won’t be open because our highly trained retail special forces (and Joe) will have pillaged the place and taken the stock down to Hornsea where we will have a stall that won’t be quite as good as it should be because Joe will have forgotten something important like the card machine, the tables or whereabout in Hornsea the show is.

mEET BEN TOLLIDAY & TEAM TOLLY RACING

IN ASSOCIATION WITH ROCK OIL
13th august 5pm

Like the Terminator, just with slightly louder taste in leathers, Ben Tolliday said he’d be back.

On 13th August 2026 he will be.

Following his fantastic showing at Oulton Park last time out in the BSB Supersport Cup, Ben & Team Tolly will be dropping back in to see us, show off a race bike or two and maybe let us have a little listen to his race-prepped Triumph Triple.

Ben is part of Rock Oil’s supported racer programme and as we are the authorised Rock Oil Motorcycle, Scooter & ATV products distributor for this region it feels like a good opportunity to do some special promotions on Rock Oil so keep an eye out in our shop for some ‘in person only’ offers on the night.

Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th June: Free Entry

Ever since the very early days of getting the shop set up we’ve been eager to reach the point where we can get the super talented artist Andy Atkinson to bring his Barry Sheene collection here to share with you all.

With the Barry Sheene Festival at Oliver’s Mount taking place the following weekend, and this year being the 50th anniversary of Barry’s first Grand Prix World Championship win, we felt like this was an unmissable opportunity to host the exhibition and let Andy tell the story of Sheeney at The Mount.

You can read more about the exhibition and see some sneak peaks of the art is features here on the Set Your Art Racing website: https://www.setyourartracing.com/barry-sheene-a-day-at-the-seaside

KBS Motorsport Suspension Setup Day - Monday 4th May (Bank Holiday Monday) 10:00am start

“KBS is expanding to the East. We have arranged a visit to Hall Bros Motorcycles on the early May bank holiday to provide professional suspension setup and expert advice. Visit us to have your suspension professionally tuned and explore the curated selection of motorcycles.”

Thanks to suggestions & requests from our local biker community, we’re excited to have KBS Motorsport coming on the first Bank Holiday in May to provide their suspension setup service here in the yard. The service is available on a first come first serve basis, and we’re expecting it to be busy, but there’s plenty to do, see, eat, drink or buy here whilst you’re waiting your turn.

You can find more info on KBS Motorsport and the services they offer by visiting their website at https://kbsmotorsport.myshopify.com/

Please note: Suspension set-up, tuning work and advice are provided directly by KBS Motorsport and your contract for any work provided is with KBS Motorsport, not with Hall Bros. This is not a service offered by Hall Bros Motorcycles as we currently do not have our own workshop facilities and technical personnel.

Guy Redshaw’s Cannondale Dirt Bike Evening

November 2025

Local blogger, biker, cyclist, beach racer, kite fanatic & all round top bloke Guy Redshaw visited the shop to give a fascinating, light-hearted & hugely informative talk about Cannondale’s MX project and his love for the bikes it produced.

Guy’s fantastic event involved a bike start-up, some very generous prize giveaways, opportunities to chat, ask questions & sit on a bike for a photo and ultimately raised £216 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Big thanks to everyone who attended and of course to Guy himself for all his hard-work in delivering such a great night and for the amazing Mick Grant replica helmet he gave us to proudly display in our Carnaby Raceway history area!

Graham Sykes & Force of Nature

October 2025

We’re still buzzing from a great night on 25th October when Graham Sykes and the Force of Nature Steam Rocket Bike team brought their record-breaking, engineering wonder to Hall Bros Motorcycles for a fascinating presentation and Q&A.

There was even an unexpected photo opportunity with Graham generously allowing the audience to sit on the world’s fastest accelerating bike - not something everyone gets to say they’ve done!

Huge thanks to everyone who came and supported the event and of course to Graham, Diane and Billy for giving up their time to make it such a memorable evening for all of us.

We sold 35 tickets at £10 each, so once the VAT man’s paid that’s a lovely £292 raised for the Melbourne Raceway Track Fund thanks to our fantastic biker community.

As he told us on the night, Graham and the team are now working on upgrades to the bike that will hopefully see it smash more records in 2026. You can follow the project here:
