We've met some lovely, warm people since we opened the shop and they don't come lovelier or warmer than the bike-mad family behind Road Racing News – Steve, Debra and Stevie Rial.

We knew of their fantastic products because we already had some at home that we'd received as gifts in the past and we felt like they'd go down a treat with our customers. What we didn't know was the local people behind the brand and how they instil their items with so much home-made, family value. (We also didn't know that they'd become instant friends as soon as they dropped off the first batch of stock!)

Journalist, writer and walking road racing encyclopaedia Stevie Rial covers road racing with unbridled enthusiasm through the website roadracingnews.co.uk and the several books he's written on the topic. Stevie's Dad Steve is the talented photographer who provides the images and graphics for the website and also the skilled man in the shed crafting some of RRN's lovely home-made merch items and gifts. Mum Debra is the whizz with a sewing machine who produces the beautiful cushions featuring images from road racing past and present, runs the business admin and gives the loveliest hugs when she delivers new stock!

The family's immense love for the sport of road racing and Oliver's Mount comes through in everything they do. If you're wanting a Christmas gift for a bike racing fan, you're almost certain to find something from Road Racing News whether it's a set of coasters, a cushion or mug featuring a favourite rider, an attractive branded hat or T-shirt, or one of Stevie's books on the iconic heroes and rich stories of road racing and our local gem of a circuit, Oliver's Mount.
